So I drive 60 miles one way to work now, and i see some things, let me tell you what I experienced today in my 120mile journey...
Driving down a state route, doing 55mph the speed limit, a little ranger on a side road decides there is enough room for him to lazily pull out in front of me, boy was he wrong, I had to brake shoot into oncoming traffic and go back in front of him to avoid an accident...
Then getting onto the highway i'm doing 65 in the right lane and EVERYBODY is riding my ass....
Coming up to a two lane light I move to the right and at the last possible second someone decides to cut me off causing me to slam my brakes next to a cop(who did nothing about anything) and go into the break down lane.
Then coming home again more people up my ass as I'm doing the speed limit in the slow lane.
People stopping at a GREEN FUCKING LIGHT!
Someone stopping in the middle of a 55mph road to turn right, there is a break down lane for a reason, fucking move there to slow down for a turn.
More assholes riding my ass as I do the speed limit.
Random honda's revving at my near stop lights
What do you guys deal with on your drives to work....am I the only one who deals with all this?
Have a car I saw that one time.

Yes, I have to deal with quite similar situations. My horn and middle finger are how I deal with them.

Most of the dick heads hot a earful of horn.
when I drove a similar distance in Mass I had a boat horn on me at all times and I would lean out of my car put it in their car and blow it azs long as I could....I'm a dick I know, but it was how I dealt with my anger.

I'm down to a 10 minute commute, still had to deal with half of this.

My commute used to be 3 minutes, I was the closest person to work, and now I'm the furthest haha
It sucks no one knows how to drive.

People try to race me all the damn time and it annoys the shit out of me. My Speed 3 exhaust is a bit loud, but I don't drive aggressively at all. So when people rev at me and take off super quick I just drive normally and they end up looking stupid.

my work has an even closer office that's only 3km's from my house... but I can't do any of my work from there.

The left lane weirdness and brake stabbing in Virginia left me fit to be tied. 11 hours of bliss from St Louis through West Virginia. WVa to Richmond was acceptable, but Richmond to VB was hell on wheels.
I can assure you this: VA's cruel and unusual driving laws do not make for a safer roadway. I swear it encourages people to drive weird.

You know, you make a good case for getting a place that is closer to work and reducing that commute time/distance.

I love my job too much to leave it. No other place will offer me what this place has

same here.
I try and drive calmly and cool. Just cruise at the speed limit. But people fly next to me rev up and try to get me to race. Occasionally I'll down shift and wait for them to signal and I'll just go back to fifth. Watch them pull away and put flashers on lol

I was thinking more along the lines living somewhere closer to where your job is.

moving is no option haha.
I'm just living with it

It makes me think of a friend of mine who rented a small condo in the city to a guy who would only live there during the week... and then he would go home on weekends.

Honestly can't afford that.
I have home duties with the lady as well.
I help out with a lot of the cleaning and cooking and stuff.
The drive honestly doesn't bother me, its the people that I share the road with that bother me most.
